JJ Whitefield Presents Jamil Rashad

JJ Whitefield is celebrated for his work with The Poets Of Rhythm, Karl Hector & The Malcouns and collaborations with Ebo Taylor and WITCH. He’s a firm fixture on Funk Night and he’s back here to present Jamil Rashad on a new limited 7″. The title track, ‘Be Your Man’, rolls with leggy, loose funk, drenched in echoing vocals and wah-laden guitar. ‘In My Head’ leans dirtier, with raw riffs, grittier vocals and rugged grooves for a more direct, textured counterpoint.
