Leoparden broke through on Oslo’s experimental music scene with his distinctive blend of funk, disco, and electronic pop. Following his debut single Boliglån in 2019, he released an album on the underground label Lyskestrekk Records, along with two singles. Then things went quiet. Now he’s back with a new album that dives even deeper into drum machines, synths, and disco. His lyrics capture everyday life in Oslo with a loose and nonchalant tone, while his music is tailor-made for the dance floor, full of both energy and playfulness. Leoparden draws inspiration from the city he comes from, but his sound resonates just as naturally with listeners far beyond Norway’s borders.
